Since 'hentalk' seems to have generated so much interest - it got more hits on one day than on any other subject - I will take the risk of giving you a further update on their progress.

To my dismay, and posh though it is, they did not take immediately to their house.

Until last night they sheltered from the rain beneath it and walked round and round it, they roosted on it but, when it came to bedtime (how should I put this?), they had to be manhandled into their quarters!

But last night, although it was not bed-time, the rain teemed down so I decided I should go and put them to bed as I didn't think that hunkering down beneath their house would afford them sufficient shelter.
But they were in already!
So it was, after all, their sanctuary and I returned to Sue to retail the news with child-like delight! - It must have been one of the few moments when heavy rain in summer came as a blessing not as a depressing curse.

And, as for the naming of names.

Yes, Sinead, my beautiful blond is Sinead.
The only flaw in this selection, Sinead, is that Sinead proves to be the most timid of the four!

The grey lady is Helen (as in Mirren) - Sue's input.

And, Martin, my Burford Brown / French Copper Maran cross, my dark girl, is Irma.
This because I figured that Irma's mother, since she looked beyond the nest and 'took a bit of foreign', must have been a bit of a 'poule'!

So this leaves only my Burford Brown unnamed. - And I really feel that it is incumbent on me to come up with a perfect name but I don't appear to have the same insight, erudition or wit as my readers but I'll keep working on it in the hope that I will have an eureka moment before someone else pips me to the post with her irrefutable monicker!
