This is another weekend of glorious weather and that is certainly not a problem.

But it does create one. The outdoor life it brings-on is not conducive to blogging!

It is much easier to slip up to the computer with an idea when it is dark, wet or cold.

Furthermore this spell of good weather - yes May has been good - has at last persuaded the birds, the bees the flowers and the grass (those of them that did not succumb to the severity of last winter) to decide to play catch-up, so there is much to be done in the garden.

A true feature of our bockety garden, you could almost say its trade mark, is selfseeded aquilegia columbine or granny's nightcap, which are just now (very late) coming into their own.

Another trade mark of the garden is the severity of the annual dandelion attack!

I am off now to weed-kill the drive, cut down the daffodils and weed out the dandelions.

Maybe I will show you the results of my labours tonight.
