As I said, Sunday was the first day of the holiday period of this trip to France.
On Saturday we completed the schedule of works that Martin & Sile had planned for the first week and that evening Martin and I collected Sue from Gerona airport.
So, after a leisurely breakfast on Sunday morning, we set-off to another street market: this time it was a vide grenier, meaning 'empty atitc', a close relative of the puce brocante we went to in Magelas last Sunday. And today we did make some finds, not gems perhaps, but delightful none the less.
An old copper, copper.
It will join two we have at home, both of which hold logs.........I'm sure this one will fnd its function too.
And Sue found this beautifully, hand made little hand-bag mirror
We are always on the hunt for 'good' pepper grinders and have seldom suceeded: even the most expensive often produce no more than a black dust, whereas we seek a course, or, what do they say in culinary circles, a 'cracked' delivery.
These two cost us the princely sum of €4, not each but for the two: and one of them works perfecty to our requirement!
