This is all that was left of this dresser and it remains one of my favourite finds.
The incised carving of the elemental tree of life and the nature of the edge-carving is, to my eye, exquisite.

I have dredged the depths of my mind but, as I write, I cannot remember where I found it nor what became of it.
I hope that somewhere and sometime I will find a contemporaneous note which will indicate that it went into a collection rather than to a commercial sale..... and that, therefore I will see it again.
